Nancy Kail is the first CT Financial Scholars Executive Director. She oversees curriculum and professional development, school partnerships, corporate sponsorships, program expansion, mission advocacy, and collaborates with CT FS Board members and Financial Scholars Executive Director, Kerry Woodward on the strategic vision of CT FS. Nancy started her career working in corporate finance at the investment bank Wertheim Schroder & Co. PLC for mainly international clients. Her financial services experience helped her refocus her career on founding and/or leading several education related organizations and programs, serving on her town’s Board of Education and now on her Town Council, and serving on several education and not for profit boards. Nancy earned a Wharton MBA and an MA in International Studies at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BA in International Relations from Brown University. She is fluent in English and Spanish. All of Nancy’s finance, public, non profit and education work, plus some inevitable life challenges have led to her belief that personal financial literacy is game changing. She is passionate about making sure all students and their families are financially able to lead successful lives and is delighted to join the Financial Scholars team to make this happen in CT.
